IMPROVING LIFE IN SPANISH FORK

February 23, 2018

Spanish Fork already has a wonderful trail system along the river, but the city is working on improving connectivity and extending the system. As part of that project, staff are currently working to complete new trail designs. New trails that are eight to ten feet wide will be built along River Bottom Road in the Poplar Lane Trail. Additionally, two new bridges will be built in the Dripping Rock Trail area. One of those will be a suspension-style bridge over the river. Construction is expected to start this summer and end in the fall. You can learn more about the project here, as well as watch a presentation from a recent public open house to discuss the project.

In addition to improvements for your recreation and leisure time, the City of Spanish Fork is also working on improving programs that keep you safe. Inside your most recent water bill, you’ll find an announcement from the city about a great new program for community safety. Residents will now be able to send text messages to 911 and connect with an operator when it is not possible and/or safe to make a phone call. Make sure to read the flyer carefully so you can learn all about this new service available to residents of Utah County. If you missed the flyer, you can learn more about this program here.

Miller Meadows wants our residents to stay healthy and happy! If you already call us home, let us know how we can improve our community! If you’re not a resident yet, what are you waiting for? Call our onsite manager, Carla, for more information and availability, at 801-798-1728.
